"Error loading PSD file: No error" while trying to open a PSD
GIMP version: 2.10.14 (latest version as of Feb. 23, 2020)
Operating System: Windows 10 Home Edition, build 1909
Package: https://www.gimp.org official installer (downloaded from .torrent file)
Description of the bug
Whenever I open GIMP and try to import a .PSD file (Photoshop Document), it gives me an error like this all the time:
"Error: No error" isn't even a helpful error at all, plus why is it erroring for the reason "No error?" It's not a transparent error at all, and it's getting in the way of my workflow (currently busy trying to follow a Cinema4D tutorial on UV mapping).
Reproduction
The bug is always being reproducible on my computer, and happening 100% of the time whenever I try to import a .PSD file.
Reproduction steps:
- Open GIMP, wait for it to load.
- Try opening a .PSD file using GIMP.
- You should be getting an error called "Error loading a PSD file: No error"
…
Expected result: I expect my photoshop document to load completely fine, and allow me to work on adding stuff to it.
Actual result: Gives me an error saying the PSD file has failed to load for the reason "No error." Not helping me at all.
Additional information
I have confirmed that this isn't happening when opening other files (like .PNG). I'm not getting any other errors (such as "unsupported color format"), I have already looked through the bug reports and none have been related to this error.
