Pink triangles screw with my color choice (Gimp 2.10.14)
Operating System: Windows 10
PROBLEM: I opened a png-picture in GIMP to remove unwanted bits, but...
the two colore rectangles (forground and background colore), that always start with black and white, have now a pink triangle on them. I don't know what they are supposed to do. (It is not about colores fading into other colores.) And I don't know how to remove them, there is nothing that lets me intuitivelly deactivate this feature. It prevents me from drawing in the colore I choose. Doing a right click on the colore rectangles does nothing. Clicking on the pink triangle does nothing. In the color seting that opens in which you choose your color; nothing.
Picking a color with the pipette gives me the same colore like in the picture, and without the pink triangle. But deviating from this colore inside the setting brings the triangle back.
Even worse, the help library is completely out of date. Because I tryed to find info in it about the pink triangles, but there was nothing.
I opened the picture an other time, but this time I made a new project and added it as a new layer instead of just draging it into GIMP without a project. And there where no triangles.
SOLUTION: I would like to activate or deactivate the pink triangles with a right click on them. Because it is intuitive and easy (for me) that way. It makes more sence than hiding the funktion in some menue or drop-down-bar.
They also need a pop-up-message that explains what the pink triangles do. And the help needs an update in general. Please.
(I'm quite sure I have overlooked something that could have helped me. I was looking hastily, while being angry about the unexplained triangles, and then my patience run out. At least I found out how to dodge the triangles.)
