Fonts with non-standard style names not recognized together
GIMP version: 2.10.14
Note: bug reporters are expected to have verified the bug still exists either in the last stable version of GIMP or on updated development code (master branch).
Operating System: Windows
Package: Installer from gimp.org
Description of the bug
When two fonts are installed in the GIMP font directory that have the same family name and non-standard style names, such as: "Bold" and "Bold Shadow" or similar (could happen for some layered fonts), only one is recognized and the other appears as "Family Name #1" and the preview shows a default font, and the font is not usable.
Is the bug reproducible? Always
- install fonts gimp_test-bold.otf gimp_test-bold_something.otf
- observe the font panel
- try to select the font in a text field
Expected result: both fonts are usable
Actual result: the font with the non-standard style name is replaced with default
