[Feature request] Utilize GIMP as front-end to OCRmyPDF
Hi. 1st of all, I need to explain that this request is not to make GIMP a full featured PDF editor. Please do not misunderstand me. It is on the spirit of GIMP as being a "GNU Image Manipulation Program", because it (this request) targeted scanned PDF, which are essentially images .....
Dear, there is a command line called OCRmyPDF which is NOT ONLY OCR, but it have very powerful "optimize scanned PDF functionalities" that correspond to (if not stronger than) Adobe acrobat Pro.
It's sites are: https://github.com/jbarlow83/OCRmyPDF & https://pypi.org/project/ocrmypdf/
Recently, it's developer made commits to make it easy for other peoples to create GUI for his command line program.
After a time of thinking, I reach to conclusion that GIMP could be an ideal GUI for this program. I'm not sure if I'm correct or not. Please examine the case & if it is not suitable close this issue. But if it is okay, then implementation of it will solve a great shortage in Linux support for PDF files manipulation ....
Bellow is a screenshot from 2 Windows programs with similar functionalities:
How it will be great if GIMP including such functionalities ....
