Add global Lock Tab mode to docking
Hello, I'd like to suggest a change in how GIMP manages docking.
Similar suggestions are given in other feature requests (e.g. #2681 (closed), #1457 (closed)) but they are rather specific, this is a more general idea.
Currently docks are always repositionable and the reminder "You can drop dockable dialogs here" is always shown in the toolbox. All Tab popup menus (under "Configure this tab") show Add/Show/Detach Tab etc. and the actual tab-specific commands are in a submenu.
I'd like to suggest a "Tab Lock" mode that:
- disables drag&drop repositioning of tabs (the windows themselves are still movable unless Single-Window Mode is enabled)
- hides the reminder
- hides the positioning commands in the submenu, tab-specific commands are moved up one level.
Mode can be toggled by selecting the relevant option under the "Window" menu.
This prevents accidental repositioning, recovers some screen real estate, and makes the menus more accessible.
