Select>Invert Option Broken in GIMP 2.10.10
GIMP version:
GIMP 2.10.10
Operating System: Windows 10
Package: Direct download from GIMP.org downloads page
Description of the bug
The Select>Invert option appears to be broken in GIMP 2.10.10. If I draw a selection area (be it a rectangle, ellipse, or by selecting all with shift+a) and then attempt to invert it either via shortcut or the main menu (Select>Invert) the selection area just disappears (almost as if I went to Select>None). There was another instance where I tried to invert the selection and it selected a bunch of random pixels towards the top of my image (this happened twice).
Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible? Always Reproduction steps:
- Draw a selection area with any selection tool or Select All.
- Go to Select>Invert or hit ctrl+i on keyboard
- Selection area disappears or wrongly selects random image pixels
…
Expected result: Selection area is inverted
Actual result: Selection area disappears or malfunctions
Additional information
I uninstalled, re-downloaded, and then reinstalled GIMP 2.10.10 from the website to see if it fixed the issue. It did not.
