Text antialiasing not working as expected
GIMP version: 2.10.8
Operating System: Antergos 19.02 (Clean installation, tested in 2 different computers)
Package: gimp (I also tried gimp-git and the problem remains)
Description of the bug
Gimp feature false colors on text antialiasing (See example).
Reproduction steps:
- Use the text tool to create white colored text over a white background.
- This will make obvious that the text was aliased in yellow/blue tones (Instead of grey tones, as expected).
- If you disable antialiasing, the weird colors dissapear.
…
Expected result: The text is aliased with correct, gray tones (As in the 1º example).
Actual result: The text is aliased in extremely obvious yellow/blue tones (As in the 2º example).
Workaround
Using gimp 2.10.8 from Flatpak fixes the problem.
