Cant copy new image objects from microsoft word into gimp anymore. Gimp is selective about accepting objects.
GIMP version: 2.10.4
Operating System: Windows 10 1803 64 bit professional
Package: [flatpak? Installer from gimp.org? If another installer, tell us where from]
Description of the bug
It used to be that I could copy objects from microsoft word into gimp flawlessly and without issue. but now I can only copy objects from microsoft word that exist before gimp 2.10 I have checked microsoft word files and both of them are from office 2016. So why is it that image objects from an older file from the same version of office can be copied into gimp but new image objects e.g. a donut, triangle, or square. cant be copied into gimp anymore?
I have also tried saving new image objects making sure they are in the exact same format as older image objects I have created in word that I have used with gimp to make sure that they are 100% compatible with gimp.
But even when I make the object's formatting the exact same as older ones e.g. "infront of text" gimp refuses to paste the object thinking nothing is there.
- Make a new microsoft word object
- Attempt to copy it (selecting it with the select object tool seems to be the only way it works now)
- copy it with ctrl+z
- click on gimp
- press ctrl+v
Expected result: Image object should paste into gimp without issue
Actual result: Gimp claims there is no data on the clip board.
"There is no image data in clipboard to paste"
