Description
Created attachment 369176 Top half of fragment demonstrate incorrect colors, bottom half - same image with correct colors
I using GIMP both on Linux and Windows OSs and have a problem with import TIFF images. After open in GIMP image colors looks different, like too bright or so. Sorry I can not find correct words to figure this problem - I am not an artist or graphics designer, I only doing some simple image processing work in GIMP.
Look to sample image I have attached: top half of image have incorrect colors, like after GIMP import, bottom half have correct colors, what I expected to see.
To make this image correct, I have imported it in Inkscape - Inkscape can import it with correct colors. Then I exported it from Inkscape to PNG format and opened this PNG in GIMP. Only this way I got correct colors in GIMP. Additionally I can see image with correct colors in Windows image viewer.
Sorry, I did not attached this TIFF image because its size is about 30Mb. I try to find smaller sample image with same problem.
This is not first time when I see this problem. I seen it before with other TIFF images. And only with TIFF, other formats, like png or jpeg looks correct. Hope you can fix this problem. Thank you.
