About GIMP doesn't support prefers-reduced-motion

Description of the bug

The credits in About GIMP use a word animation even though I have my operating system set to reduce motion.

Reproduction

Is the bug reproducible?

Reproduction steps:

  1. Apple menu, then System Settings, then Accessibility, then Display.
  2. Set Reduce Motion to on.
  3. Launch GIMP.
  4. GIMP menu, then About GIMP.

…

Expected result: Credits are displayed without motion animation.

Actual result: Credits are displayed with motion animation.

The setting in question is not just for the OS. For example, Safari, Firefox, and Chrome expose this setting to websites to allow websites to respect the user's preference to avoid unnecessary animation.
