filters\combine\filmstrip plugin doesn't appear to be working for me, can someone confirm if it's a bug, or not?
Environment/Versions
- GIMP version:
- Package: -->tried 2.10.34 main version, as well as the 2.99.16 dev release just in case
- Operating System: --> Windows 10
okay, it only happens if i set my advanced plugin settings tab(as shown in the one photo, to non default values(those given in the photo are what i used to try and get rid of filmstrip holes and numbers) Description of the bug
but the status bar on the bottom of the other picture just perpetually shows "composing images" with no progress bar showing up or movement, however, it appears if I leave everything on the "Advanced" tab at defaults(ie: not moving every slider but image height to 0.00 or touching anything else in the advanced tab) everything works fine, or at least seems to, since i rarely need the filmstrip plugin functionality, and so don't quite know whether what i'm doing is SUPPOSED to work(yet it does seem to work as i want in 2.6/2.8?!?!?! huh???)("composing images" message shown in next picture)
Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible? --> happens every time I try it while moving all "advanced" tab sliders except image height(don't figure I need to mess with image height)
Reproduction steps:
-
load a few images of same size to filmstrip(350x900px for me)
-
go to menu tabs and click on "filters\combine\filmstrip" then do whatever you want on main page, before switching to "advanced" tab
-
once on "advanced" tab leave image height alone, then move all the other sliders to 0.00, then once you hit "ok" it should appear to be stuck on "composing images"(repeat the process but don't touch "advanced" tab to get a result that appears to be working)(this step reproduction is for 2.99.16 dev release, as that's the last version that was open on my machine, but stable version will likely be the same i hope)
…
Expected result: i should (i think based on previous experience with super old 2.6\2.8 GIMP versions) get a film strip without film sprocket holes, and without numbers as well(the reason for setting those numbers to 0.00)
so the question for this bug report is, are you NOT supposed to be able to set those settings to 0.00, or is it a bug and you SHOULD be able to???
Actual result: gets stuck on "composing images"
