Because only IPTC and XMP can return multiple strings for a single value, gexiv2_get_tag_multiple() will only return an array of strings for those domains. It returns NULL otherwise.
A more lenient solution would be to generate a 1-length array for EXIF data, so all domains can be accessed through this call universally.
