[PATCH] gegl:translate-angle-based : an alternative way to do buffer translation
This patch adds a new transform operation: translate-angle-based (ok, fill free to change its name...) It's no more than a simple translation op, but:
Instead of providing an x and y offsets like the translate operation, this op takes a direction (an angle in degrees) and a distance (in sub-pixels) to compute the translation.
In an end-user point of view (facing an auto-generated UI like in GIMP), I feel more natural and effective to express the translation by an angle and a distance than setting x and y offsets (i.e. the drop-shadows filter in GIMP).
Such a transform (angle,distance to x,y offsets) can be done effectively at a higher level than GEGL, making this patch useless, but...
