Bug when typing some Devanagari characters in gedit and other gnome and non-gnome applications
When typing certain Devanagari characters, they are united to a single glyph that cannot be separated again.
So when typing क and then े this is correctly displayed as के. However, a backspace will delete the whole glyph and not just the े from the के as would be expected and as it is correctly done in libre office.
This does not happen with all characters however: When typing क and then ि , the ि can be deleted separately from the कि.
The problem happens with कै के कं कृ and possible other conjuncts as well.
It does not happen in firefox, libre-office or gnome shell (which all behave correctly), but in gedit and zim wiki (a non-gnome application). Maybe this helps to find the culprit.
