EOL at the end of file should be perceivable in gedit window
If the content of a text file is "foo\n"(string literal), then gedit doesn't allow cursor to go to ending blank line, as if the content of the file is "foo", thus I cannot distinguish if the file ends with "\n".
I understand that gedit, like nano, wants to keep an EOL char at the end of a text file, but nano always allows cursor to "the end blank line", no matter whether it exists.
so is it by design or shall it be optimized like a professional editor which can show space chars as is?
