Use the freedesktop dark mode setting to automatically show a dark variant of the UI widgets / theme
Hello Gedit maintainers, contributors and developers,
I've started to use Gedit lately and it has been great for doing quick edits without having to fire up a heavy IDE. Like many of you, I am using a dark background for my editor. Although this works well, if I am using a light GTK theme like Adwaita or Arc, the white CSD / bar / titlebar contrasts too much with the dark background of the editor.
Is it possible to add a setting where the user can force gedit to use the dark variant of the GTK theme? Several other GNOME programs like Builder and Terminal have this option and it would be really nice to have it in Gedit too.
Keep up the great work!
