* Deleting a line will sometimes make the next line down
dissappear, until you highlight it.
* There are issues with auto indent and multiple views of a document
( we need to confirm if this is still a problem )
Done/Fixed:
* If you are working on a doc, click exit or close the
window, you are asked if you want to save. If you click
yes gedit exitst without saving.
* if you ./configure --prefix to somewhere other than
gnome-config --prefix, then the plugins won't be recognized.
* Get gmodules to build
* Should add version checking into configure.in such that it
will warn the user if they don't have the latest glib/gtk or
gnome-libs
* Lots of GnomeUI-Critical and Gtk-Warning messages when you
try to do "Open (swap) .c/.h file" for something that does
not have a file that's .c/.h to swap with.
* Crash: Change your preferences to enable "Close Window After
Closing Last", then close all window tabs, then try to
go to the Preferences.
* You can't pull a menu by using the Alt+{menu key}
alt+keys are doing different actions. We should disable
the use of alt keys to modify the file, this is a simple
text editor.
(Bug #1478)
* The "recent files" listing will include files that no longer
exist, and when you go to select them from the list, there
is no error message or any visual clue that the file is not
going to be loaded because it no longer exists.
* If you open a file it gets the name Untitled, if you type
something it changed to Untitled1. If you then open another
file it get opened witht the name Untilted1 if you type in
the file it changes to Untitled2
* Revert is not working and thus it has been disabled.
* We need to be able to deal with a broken config file after
launching gedit. It seems to crash with some problems with
the config file.
(Many bug reports...)
* Need to fix the text wrapping when printing and
print previewing.
* CTRL + Q does not work
* Column counting does not work properly
(what a stupid bug this was !!!!!!)
* If you close with Ctrl + K you modifiy the document
so you get asked if you want to save it even if the document
has not been modified.
\ No newline at end of file
* There are issues with auto indent and multiple views of a
document
gedit 0.7.0 (April 18, 2000)
New Maintainers
* Chema Celorio <chema@celorio.com> and Jason Leach
<leach@wam.umd.edu> are the new maintainers of gedit. We're
trying our best to get a great stable text editor onto every
GNOME desktop, especially with the aggressive roadmap
leading to GNOME 2.0.
Changes
* Many crashes and bugs fixed.
* The new plugin API is implemented, some of the plugins have
been converted over to the new system.
* File I/O operations have been re-written.
* Massive cleanup on the source code.
* Printing now uses gnome-print.
* The menus have been simplified.
* ALT-F not pulling up the File menu bug fixed.
* Some dialogs were re-designed using glade, including a
completely new Preferences.
* i18n improvements and upates.
Disabled features (for stability reasons)
* Most of the plugins have been disabled or are not yet
converted over to the new system.
* The status bar does not display "Column: x" for now since
the column reporting code is very inacturate.

gEdit 0.6.0 "Demanufacture" Is now Available.
And so begins the long awaited 0.6.x stable series.
0.5.5 had some major bugs, that have now been fixed and we're working on making
this series as stable as possible (as well as beginnign work on the 0.9 series,
otherwise known as "The Road To 1.0.0"). 0.6 will continue on as the main stable
platform of gEdit, until the 0.9 series has been completed and 1.0.0 is launched.
