Wrong contact name displayed in email header
Bug summary
This may be a duplicate of #499 (closed) but the mails aren't substrings of each other.
About you
- Geary version: 3.34-dev
- Installation method: rpm
- Your desktop: Gnome
- Your operating system and version: Fedora 30
- Email provider: strato.de
What is the current bug behavior?
Similarly to #499 (closed), contacts are displayed with the wrong name.
I have a contact Gerhard Kexampleh with addresses
gerhard.kexampleh@kexampleh.de kexampleh@kexampleh.de
(note that the last name matches the domain)
and a contact Christoph Beispielen with adresses
christoph.beispielen@kexampleh.de beispielen@kexampleh.de
note that the addresses have the same domain but aren't really substrings of each other (at least not for different accounts)
Bug:
Mails from kexampleh@kexampleh.de are displayed as "Christoph Beispielen"
What is the expected correct behavior?
Mails from kexampleh@kexampleh.de are displayed as "Gerhard Kexampleh"
Gnome Contacts (and my Gmail account which is the source for these accounts) show correctly, that both contacts have only the right mail addresses assigned. Searching for "kexampleh@kexampleh.de" will correctly show Gerhard.
(Names and addresses are censored for obvious reasons, but I tried to keep their general format as best as possible)
This problem appeared since a recent update.
