Message undeliverable to correct address, address mangling suspected
A message to a mailing list address was rejected as if the address was invalid (but it was valid, and sending a test message to the same address from Evolution worked.) Suspiciously, the failed destination address was mangled in the attachment of the error message.

What is the current bug behavior?
The letter is rejected with the error message:
The following message to <sciences-licence-descartes-ue-outils-math...> was undeliverable. The reason for the problem: 5.1.0 - Unknown address error 550-'#5.1.0 Address rejected.'
The error message is the same as if trying to send a letter to a non-existing address.
Strangely, the rejected letter in the attachment of the error message contained a mangled version of the destination address:
To: "=?us-ascii?q?sciences-licence-descartes-ue-outils-ma?= =?us-ascii?q?th?="@univ-amu.fr
What is the expected correct behavior?
The letter should not be rejected.
