Conversations in tree-like structure
Feature summary
Classic mail clients show conversations in tree like structure, a tree that branches each time there is reply. So it is possible to know for each message to which original message it replies to. Geary is missing that feature.
How would you like it to work?
In the conversation view, if a message is not replying to the last message in the view, instead of appearing last, it should appear below the message it replies to, but indented.
Classical mail clients might show something like:
- Apples and Oranges
- Re: Apples and oranges
- Re: Apples and oranges
- Re: Apples and oranges
- Oranges more specifically [was: Re: Apples and Oranges]
- Re: Oranges more specifically [was: Re: Apples and Oranges]
- Re: Apples and oranges
- Re: Apples and oranges
Geary might show it like this instead:
- Apples and Oranges
- Re: Apples and oranges
- Re: Apples and oranges
- Oranges more specifically [was: Re: Apples and Oranges]
- Re: Oranges more specifically [was: Re: Apples and Oranges]
- Re: Apples and oranges
Alternatively, the middle column where the list of conversations in a folder appear could be opened up for a particular conversation to show a tree structure of each message, and clicking a message woud show the specific messsage on the right column
