Limit the number of attempts TimedLogin is allowed to relogin
When TimedLogin is enabled any attempts to logout, going back to gdm, will result in gdm TimedLogin to start the count down to relogin. This is a useful feature assuming you always want to be logged in. However, we have ran in to cases where we don't want the continues login to occur if someone (or something) has gdm perform more than N number of timed logins.
Would it be possible to add a feature to gdm daemon section to limit the total number of timed logins?
ex from /etc/gdm/custom.conf:
...
[daemon]
TimedLogin=user
TimedLoginEnable=true
TimedLoginDelay=5
TimedLoginAttempts=10
...
This would limit the total number of attempts for gdm's TimedLogin to 10. Once this goes over 10 gdm will stop attempting to perform a TimedLogin.
If unset or set to zero TimedLogin attempts is unlimited.
