        * gui/gdmlogin.c, gui/gdmsetup.glade,
          gui/greeter/greeter_canvas_item.c, gui/gdmsetup.c,
          config/gdm.conf.in: Honor default password character rather
          than hardcoding to '*'.
        * docs/C/gdm.xml: Modify docs relating to above change, and
          modify the Custom Widgetry section to explain the recent fixes
          (in last commit).
