Setting reflect_x in Wayland
I'm able to set reflect_x
on one of my monitors using the Nvidia X Server Settings when using X11 (X Server Display Configuration > Orientation > Reflect along X). This sets the "metamodes"
option on the Screen to "{reflection=X}"
.
Since upgrading to Fedora 34 I am now trying to use Wayland by default (as Nvidia is now supporting it) but I can't seem to find a similar setting for it under Wayland - there was never an option to do this in the Gnome settings (that I could see) and of course the Nvidia settings panel only targets X11.
The use-case here is a teleprompter - the monitor is being reflected so needs to be flipped in software to compensate. It's a relatively niche use-case but not all that uncommon, so hopefully it's something worth supporting :)
