autoselect last logged in user

gdm has a very annoying behaviour: instead of showing active password field for last logged in (or currently on lock screen) user - it ask user to use mouse or press enter, even if there are only one user on this computer! And show awful animation on it. So instead of simple login to you system you must press absolutely unnecessary buttons and look to annoying animations. Could you add a setting that will force gdm to show active password field always? (I'm using ubuntu 18.10) The best behaviour I see is in lightdm - nothing extra, just comfortable login.
