Upon sending a file with a long filename, window width gets forcibly adjusted to it, and cannot be reduced.
When a file is sent via Fractal, a button is displayed, containing its filename on a single line. When this filename is so long it won't fit into the window at its current size, the window gets wider and becomes impossible to shrink (horizontally).
Below is a full-width screenshot of my screen (vertically limited to the mesasge containing the button), showing that dimensions of the window exceed those of the screen, which is undesirable.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open Fractal.
- Enter a testing room of your choice.
- Send a file with a very long filename (such that it won't fit inside the window).
- Attempt to horizontally shrink the window in vain.
I think better behaviour would be wrapping the text in the button so that it fits into the window, or only displaying a part of the filename, with the rest ommited (and replaced by ellipsis, for example). A combination of both might be a good solution.
