emotes in backlog show extraneous user display name

That’s a tough one to reproduce but still happens from time to time.

When you scroll back in the chat log (“load more”) and get to a point where the first message is an emote, you get something that looks like this:

emote_username

I.e. the name of the person as if it was a regular message and then the emote, instead of just the emote.
