Heavy memory usage
When using Fractal Next (flatpak version from GNOME Apps Nightly, as specified in the README), after a while the UI freezes (when receiving messages as you type in some message yourself). As it does, memory usage skyrockets to GBs.
Steps to reproduce
- Open Fractal
- Visit a few rooms (observe RAM increasing)
- Enter a 1-on-1 room
- Have a heated conversation with the opposite side.
- At some point the UI will freeze.
- Observe RAM increasing.
Information
-
This bug is reproducible from the latest nightly build - Fractal Version: 5-alpha1-c6edc584
- OS Version: ArchLinux (up-to-date)
- Installation Source: Gnome Nightly flatpak repository
- Homeserver: matrix.org
Nothing relevant in logs unfortunately, heaps of the following and that's it:

Memory goes up to GBs. I have a screencast but it doesn't show anything past the freezing UI and the associated RAM increase.
Do note that even without freeze, the simple fact of scrolling up in any conversation systematically increases RAM consumption by tens of MBs (which, for not even a kB-worth of text is definitely too much). That memory never decreases.
