Add translator comments for unclear strings
While translating Fractal, some questions appeared to me. Please do not misunderstand my brevity as unfriendliness - I do not intend to sound rude or annoyed! I just want to keep things short.
-
"Favourite"
: Is this a noun or verb? Is this a status indicator (aka "You have marked this item as your favourite thing in the past"), or is it a button to add an item to your favourites ("favourite" as a verb)? -
"Invite"
: Is this a noun ("Invite" is a synonym for "invitation") or a verb? -
"Join Room as Favorite"
: Do I join the room as some sort of favourite person? Do I join the room and add it to my list of favourite rooms at the same time? The same questions apply to"Join Room as Low Priority"
,"Rejoin Room as Favorite"
and"Rejoin Room as Low Priority"
. -
"Message Entry"
: Could you please explain in what context this is used? I have no idea how to translate it. -
"Search Room List"
: Does this mean "Search for a specific room in the room list", or "Search the room list" (aka " I've lost the room list, can you help me find it?") -
"Do Not Match"
: What does not match? Depending on the gender (male, female, neutral), the translation of this phrase might change. -
"_Forward"
(also here): As in "Forward an email/message" or "Go to the next step"? -
"Spaces"
: Is this something like Twitter Spaces? Or does it mean Space as in the character in between two words? -
"View"
: Is this a verb that means an action (aka "Press this button to view something"), or a noun, similar to a menu category like "File", "Edit", "Extras" etc.?
I'm sure you already know how to add translator comments. Here's how just in case: https://wiki.gnome.org/TranslationProject/DevGuidelines/Use%20comments
Thank you very much for your time!
Edit: Oooh, I'm Issue No 1000
