RAR-parted file can't be opened from GUI but from terminal it do
POINT 1a) I am here to report a bug where if I open a part.rar file from GUI (from Nautilus, which in turn opens File-Roller)
it fails with "File CRC Error" (see the screenshot below):
POINT 1b) While, if I open from terminal, it works flawlessly!
POINT 2a) the responsible file KCADD5IJEESM4 is a little more than 5GB, too big to be shared with you;
$ file KCADD5IJEESM4.part01.rar
KCADD5IJEESM4.part01.rar: RAR archive data, v4, os: Win32, flags: ArchiveVolume NewVolumeNaming RecoveryRecordPresent FirstVolume
POINT 2b) in order to be reproducible, I created a part-ed RAR archive with rar
but unfortunately with this, I can't reproduce the issue;
$ file test/rar-ED.part1.rar
test/rar-ED.part1.rar: RAR archive data, v5
POINT 3) Is there any further information I can provide? other way I can debug it?
POINT 4) my environment:
I am using Arch Linux w/ latest GNOME 43 software versions
$ file-roller --version
