Email body deleted in composer when changing the signature

I’ve got multiple predefined signatures and frequently use the signature-changing menu in the composer window. Sometimes, I click on the signature changer and select a different signature. The email contents is deleted and I’m left with just the previous signature.

The Edit: Undo option is disabled and I can’t recover the message that way.

I recently lost an email I had spend some time composing. I used gcore to dump Evolution’s memory to disk. I found the email and was able to recover it from the wreckage. I also noticed that the copy I found in RAM contained the newly selected signature and not the previous one.

I’ve run into this bug since maybe two times a month for at least the last two years. However, I don’t know the exact steps involved. I’ve held off on reporting it in the hopes that I’d find the exact steps to reproduce the issue.
