Evolution crashes unexpectedly; difficulty pinpointing cause
I'm having a good deal of trouble using Evolution, it crashes (segmentation fault/SIGSEGV) very frequently, and I'm having some difficulty pinpointing exactly why. For background, I'm using evolution 3.34.1-2 on Ubuntu 19.10; using Evolution with 2 accounts, both Google.
Here's what I know:
When I run
$ CAMEL_DEBUG=all evolution >& logfile
The final entry before crashing always seems to be something like
=========== DB SQL operation [SAVEPOINT TN1] started Camel SQL Exec: SAVEPOINT TN1CAMEL_DEBUG=all evolution >& logfile Camel SQL Exec: DELETE FROM folders WHERE folder_name = 'INBOX' Camel SQL Exec: INSERT INTO folders VALUES ('INBOX', 14, 0, 0, 0, 16, 1, 0, 0, 16, 0, '4 8 52806 8193697' ) Camel SQL Exec: RELEASE SAVEPOINT TN1 DB Operation ended. Time Taken : 0.007941 ###########
which if I'm reading right, for some reason evolution is trying to delete my INBOX folder and then re-add it? I've run through some of the other
When I ran
$ gdb evolution
then when it segfaulted
(gdb) thread apply all bt
I've attached gdb.txt here, the output is a bit long.
Does anybody have thoughts about what the issue might be? Is there additional information I can provide / additional debugging steps?
