Cannot copy event from Exchange to Google calendar
I tried to copy an event from Exchange to my Google calendar using Evolution. The event in question is one session of a recurring meeting that happened to be rescheduled, and Evolution has given me numerous problems with this recurring event in particular. When attempting to copy the event from Exchange to Google, Evolution gave me this error:
Cannot modify calendar object: Missing information about component URL, local cache is possibly incomplete or broken. Remove it, please.
I did just that: I shut down Evolution, killed all processes with 'evolution' in the name, then removed
~/.local/share/evolution and restarted it. After I refreshed both calendars in the Evolution UI, Evolution gave me the exact same error message when I went to copy the event from my Exchange calendar to my Google calendar. I have not found a way to copy this event into my Google calendar.
The Evolution package is from the Fedora 30 repositories, and is evolution-3.32.4-1.fc30.x86_64. This sort of thing has been happening a lot with this particular recurring event, though I've only started seeing the "local cache" error recently--since upgrading to Fedora 30, I believe. I should also note that I generally accept meeting invitations and select my Google calendar to add them, but for this recurring event in particular, Evolution frequently refuses to update my Google calendar; so the attempt to copy was my attempt to work around that problem...though that rarely works, either.
