OpenPGP signing sometimes fails
**Evolution-3.44.4 **
Often the GPG signing fails even though everything is configured correctly and gpg --list-keys
from a user terminal works fine.
I get the following error message when trying to send a mail:
Could not create message.
You may need to select different mail options.
Detailed error: Output from gpg2:
gpg: no running gpg-agent - starting '/usr/bin/gpg-agent'
gpg: waiting for the agent to come up ... (5s)
gpg: connection to agent established
gpg: Note: signature key 0x9508F7A795526632 expired Di 21 Jan 2020 11:18:38 CET
gpg: writing to '-'
gpg: pinentry launched (15199 gnome3 1.2.1-unknown not a tty - :0.0 ? 4728/4728 0)
gpg: signing failed: Operation cancelled
gpg: signing failed: Operation cancelled
The simple workaround then is going to the OpenPGP settings and re-saving without any change: Account->Properties->Security->[OK]
