prefer-plain: Do not hide attachments
Some attachements in forwarded mails or inline attachements in mails from MAC-users are shown in the overview mail list as icon, but they are not accessable.
Evolution 3.38.3-1, Debian 11, Extension »prefere simple text« activated
The email attachement starts with
--Apple-Mail=_83A6769A-19C6-4DEA-B330-D7A46988CDD2
Content-Disposition: inline;
filename="Lorem_Ipsum.pdf.pdf"
Content-Type: application/pdf;
name="Lorem_Ipsum.pdf.pdf"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
Preferences/Email/HTML: Nothing activated
- -> The email overview list shows an email with attachement icon. In the mail view area, no attachement is shown.
Switching to Preferences/Email/HTML: Show supp- ressed HTML parts as attachments AND Always display as plain text
- -> The email overview list shows an email with attachement icon. In the mail view area, first the simple text part is shown, than HTML email is shown. After that the attachement is shown, directly after the HTML part. In the footer area at the bottom of the mail view area there is also the attachment shown as normal attachement list.
Switching off the extension »prefere simple text«
- -> The same without the simple text part.
For testing, I can forward the mail and in the composer window I get the attachement list. With that I can download the attachement, but that's not verry user friendly.
So, evolution knows, that there is an attachement (shown in the email overview list), but if I use the extension »prefere simple text« and the HTML part is not shown, the attachement is not shown, not after the simple text view and not in the attachement list at the bottom.
Is it possible, to get the attachement shown in the attachement list at the bottom of the mail, regardless of whether the extension has been activated or not?
