Composer: Removing highlighted quoted section creates empty quoted lines

Steps to reproduce:

Edit > Preferences > Mail Preferences > HTML Messages > Plain Text Mode > Show suppressed HTML parts as attachments
is enabled -
Edit > Preferences > Mail Preferences > HTML Messages > Plain Text Mode > HTML Mode
is set toShow HTML if present

Edit > Preferences > Composer Preferences > General > Default Behavior > Format messages in HTML
is disabled - Import testcase: evosig.mbox
- Open testcase message.
- Reply to message in plain text composer.
- Press the
arrow down
key on your keyboard seven times, so it should be in the first empty quoted line - Press the
shift
key on your keyboard and keep it pressed. - In addition, press the
arrow down
key on your keyboard four times, so it should be in the first empty quoted line. - Release the
shift
key on your keyboard. Should look like this: - Press the
Enter
key on your keyboard.
Expected outcome:
The remaining quoted lines end with the last line that had some content.
Actual outcome:
There is an additional quotation character which only looks like an empty quoted line:
Continue with steps to reproduce:
- Press the
arrow up
key two times on your keyboard to reach that empty quoted line.
Expected outcome:
End up in the line which only shows a >
and nothing else
Actual outcome:
You end up in the line above, starting with > wf wegy
.
Continue with steps to reproduce:
- Press
Ctrl+Z
twice.
Expected outcome:
Previously made changes get reverted.
Actual outcome:
My own signature gets removed, which is an action that I did not perform before.
