Evolution reports "network is unreachable" despite address being pingable
Whenever I try to send email from my corporate address through smtp.avilex.ru, I get the error in the title. It may be a problem on the server side (right now we have some other problem there, though not email-related), however the error Evolution prints looks completely off. Screenshot:
Meanwhile, I'm able to ping smtp.avilex.ru, so the network is definitely reachable.
$ ping smtp.avilex.ru PING smtp.avilex.ru (220.127.116.11) 56(84) bytes of data. 64 bytes from 18.104.22.168 (22.214.171.124): icmp_seq=1 ttl=121 time=6.47 ms 64 bytes from 126.96.36.199 (188.8.131.52): icmp_seq=2 ttl=121 time=6.54 ms ^C --- smtp.avilex.ru ping statistics --- 2 packets transmitted, 2 received, 0% packet loss, time 1001ms rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 6.469/6.502/6.535/0.033 ms
When I run
CAMEL_DEBUG=smtp I only get a single line whenever I try sending a mail:
[SMTP] Connecting to server smtp.avilex.ru:587 from account 6d62a2a05a6a77a462a0636bbcafc288f26c589d [SMTP] Connecting to server smtp.avilex.ru:587 from account 6d62a2a05a6a77a462a0636bbcafc288f26c589d [SMTP] Connecting to server smtp.avilex.ru:587 from account 6d62a2a05a6a77a462a0636bbcafc288f26c589d
