Extend autoconfig/config-v1.1.xml definition, to provide means telling “For this email address no mailbox exists”
To setup multi-purpose accounts - mail, contacts, calendars - in Evolution as one step, the user chooses “Collection account”. This is the only way to import many CalDAV calendars belonging to the same user, as one step. As input for the setup process is provided email address.
Provide means, using the autoconfig/config-v1.1.xml file, to define that for a particular email address, no mailbox exists, so that:
- once account for that email-address is set up, Evolution does not try to configure for that email address mail account, but only CalDAV/CardDAV/LDAP accounts. [The setup process shall find NO “Mail receive”/“Mail sent” candidates) • if the user misspells the email address (types invalid email address), Evolution can communicate this to the user during the setup process.
Such an use case is for the address anonymous@aegee.org, that provides public data over CalDAV, but has no IMAP/SMPT/POP account.
