Calendar: Event non-libical time zone reset to UTC on edit
I found what appears to be a consistently reproducible issue. Using Evolution 3.36.3 on Kubuntu 20.04 / KDE Plasma 5.18.5:
- I create a new event in Outlook (on a Windows machine) scheduled for i.e. 15:00.
- Sync to my CalDAV server (Radicale)
- Sync Evolution. The event appears exactly as expected: with a start time of 15:00, timezone is Pacific Standard Time (my correct timezone). Screenshot: https://lnk2.tk/snaps/2020-07-20_15.12.06.png
- Now if I edit the description in Evolution & save, in addition to modifying the description, it also changes the timezone to UTC. Screenshot: https://lnk2.tk/snaps/2020-07-20_15.13.11.png. In the event list, it now shows a start time of 8:00 (which is correct in UTC, but no longer reflects my timezone). I have to edit the event & manually set the timezone back to Los Angeles.
Under Preferences->Calendar and Tasks->General->Time Zone, it's set to "Use system time zone (America/Los_Angeles).
