If I keep the button pushed and keep moving my mouse around, selection highlight update gets slower and slower (have to wait 5 or 6 seconds after stopping movement to get selection highlight updated). Maybe this is not easy to notice on a fast PC. But selection in html mode and in text mode does not have this behaviour on my machine.https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/2142Create calendar groups2022-12-05T11:24:13Zfsbox666Create calendar groupshttps://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/2137Crash under soup_auth_ntlm_free_connection_state()2023-05-03T17:26:39ZRaffi Khatchadourianraffi.khatchadourian@hunter.cuny.eduCrash under soup_auth_ntlm_free_connection_state()```

- right click on entry
- click copy
- click somewhere in the calendar
- ctrl v to paste
Outcome:
Two new entries are created instead of one. Checking on Google or the Gnome-calendar app shows only one instance of the new entry, so somehow it's doing the right thing and pasting once, but just showing two of them. Closing and re-opening evolution fixes it, only one entry is now correctly shown.
Expected outcome:
One new entry should be shown.
Additional info:
This is on a Google based calendar. As noted, I checked the web interface and only one new entry is seen there. Also confirmed with Gnome-calendar.

if i forward an outlook invitation i received from a colleague 1 to a colleague 2, both on outlook, original email will be simplified, without the ability for colleague 2 to accept the invitation. I mean, when i receive the invitation from colleague 1, it is ok, i can accept, refuse the invitation, and open my calendar. When i forward the invitation to colleague 2 all the invitation content, regarding the acceptance or not disappears. Would be great if the forward message keeps the invitation content.

It seems, I have to first click elsewhere on the window or switch to another programme, before evolution notices the edit.
It would be ideal if Evolution listens in some form to edits in its fields and then automatically offers to save these (or even automatically saves these) within milliseconds.https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/2004Select several non-contiguous days using the function key CTRL2022-08-28T01:24:05ZRui DinisSelect several non-contiguous days using the function key CTRLSelect several non-contiguous days using the function key CTRL (example, day 3, 8 and 15), to view them side by side, and/or to drag and drop calendar notes from one day to another;

This means that if e.g. frequently creating events with a reminder some time after the event (an example would be a reminder at the beginning of working hours to take action on an event that happened overnight), the user has to manually create a custom time for every event.
This should be reasonably easy to fit into the relevant GSettings key, by changing it to a signed value and using negative values for "after the event time".https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/1956Asked to log into accounts again.2023-02-27T14:28:24ZAlan MartinezAsked to log into accounts again.Hello everyone,

I'm not ...Hello everyone,
I'm new here so if I make mistakes or post incorrectly please let me know.
An issue I'm having is occasionally I'm being asked to log into my mail accounts again as if Evolution has lost my password or access.
I'm not very sure this is an Evolution problem but I have a feeling it's not my mail accounts because it's across all of them.
Evolution will ask me to provide my email and passwords to my Google, Yahoo, Outlook, Hotmail, and an old ISP (ix.netcom.com) account. Sometimes it will be maybe one or two of the domains, sometimes it will be all of them. The timing of when this happens seems very random. All will be working fine for several weeks and then I will start receiving prompts to provide my passwords to the various accounts (random accounts most of the time).
I'm not sure what is needed of me to investigate this issue but let me know and I'll do my best. I feel I'm still new to Linux but I'll do my best to provide information or attempt fixes.
Currently I'm running Ubuntu Desktop 22.04 LTS.
Currently I'm running Evolution 3.44.1-0ubuntu1.
I tried to search but couldn't find any information but my search criteria may have been too broad.

I do not know if this is a bug in Evolution or in the toolkits. Thank you for your help in advance. :)
**steps to reproduce:**
1. start Evolution (local account sufficient)
2. switch to calendar view
3. right mouse button on background and appointment in changing order
**actual behavior:**
In the following:
* "OK" means "context menu is expanded correctly, i.e. uses all available height"
* "FAIL" means "context menu is not expanded correctly"
* "appointment" refers to any appointment, can be the same
* "RMB" means "right mouse button click, i.e. "RMB@background" means make a right mouse button click on the calendar background to open the context menu
One order is:
1. RMB@background => OK (free space available, so context menu can expand to full height:
![01-RMB_background](/uploads/29bf275636ecf2b7fb5c0f18e8b71a75/01-RMB_background.jpg)
2. RMB@appointment => FAIL
![02-RMB_appointment-fail](/uploads/66cdc6528410d1591693186c4ce78dbd/02-RMB_appointment-fail.jpg)
3. RMB@appointment => OK

Following this order there is peculiar expansion:
1. RMB@background => OK (screenshot like "One order step 1")
2. RMB@appointment => FAIL (screenshot like "One order step 2")
3. scroll context menu to bottom
![03-scroll_to_bottom](/uploads/c4c322ee26774f1f9c75dfb6382ed55a/03-scroll_to_bottom.jpg)
4. RMB@appointment => FAIL differently, i.e. extended context menu has multiple empty lines at bottom
![04-RMB_appointment-fail2](/uploads/4082da70a2b587e635ebcd896fbcbe85/04-RMB_appointment-fail2.jpg)
5. scroll context menu to top => OK (screenshot like "One order step 3")
**Expected behavior:**
If there is enough free space available, the context menu should use full height.
**A different way to reproduce:**
1. switch to task view
2. disable available task lists
3. RMB@background (shows only "New Task")
4. enable one task list
5. RMB@item (height-cropped context menu opens with multiple items, you must scroll)
6. RMB@item (full-height context menu opens with multiple items, you see all)https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/1945Mark as junk should also mark as read2022-08-02T16:59:24ZÉloi RivardMark as junk should also mark as readI recognize a lot of spams just by their title and expediter. The "mark as read" button is very convenient in that case, but as soon as I mark a message as junk without reading it, the junk box label get emphasized, and pulls my attention there.
I suppose this could be avoidable if marking as junk would automatically mark messages as read too.

Usually the temporary Search via Search bar is persistent when switching between Search folders. But when using a Saved search, the search result is lost when switching Search folders.
When switching between Search folders and back to the original Search folder, the previous Saved search is lost. Using a custom filter, the previous custom filter is still there when switching back to a Search folder.https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/1931Calendar & Contacts: provide display option for Portrait mode displays2022-06-14T09:43:18ZilippertCalendar & Contacts: provide display option for Portrait mode displaysAs a form of enhancement, I like to suggest to consider options for portrait screen users to visualise the contents of the calendar and the contacts differently, compared to the Landscape default design.

Consider the calendar Work Week view. It looks like this
Mon | Tue | Wed | Thur | Fri | Sat | Sun
In contrast for portrait I would love to see this layout:
Mon
___
Tue
___
Wed
___
Thur
___
Fri
___
Sat
___
Sun
And for the contacts view, a stacked card, with max 3 cards in parallel, would be great.https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/1920Cannot go online with "Work Online" action after wake-up from suspend*2023-12-15T10:41:14ZSever OrazCannot go online with "Work Online" action after wake-up from suspend*Although I haven't been able to reproduce this reliably, often when I wake-up my laptop from suspend (having had Evolution open before suspending) Evolution will become unable to go online despite the presence of an internet connection.
...Although I haven't been able to reproduce this reliably, often when I wake-up my laptop from suspend (having had Evolution open before suspending) Evolution will become unable to go online despite the presence of an internet connection.
I've tried running Evolution from a terminal to see what gets logged, but the only output I see after waking the laptop up is the following:
evolution-shell-Message: 23:20:24.416: Network disconnected. Forced offline.
evolution-shell-Message: 23:20:36.542: Connection established. Going online.
I'm aware that more information is needed to resolve this issue, I'm happy to try suggestions.https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/1909Support custom icon and custom text color settings also for Search Folders2022-05-23T08:30:34ZMassimo-BSupport custom icon and custom text color settings also for Search FoldersEvolution-3.42.4

Reading mails from different accounts and folders I almost always use Search Folders extensively.
Please add support for custom appearance settings like icon and text color as already available for usual folders via Properties->Appearance. This could be done by adding the Appearance Tab and move the current Search Folder page into a General tab.
