Turning off "calender" in the Online Accounts settings resolves this.
I am connected to webdav calender which contains many reoccurring events.
The operating system is Manjaro-Arm.
The hardware used is a Pinebook Pro with 4GB of memory. Normally this pc is powerfull enough for basic daily tasks like webbrowsing etc.

I understand the discussion there but still I'm unable to see the rationale for getting notifications twice by default.
For years, I've been closing both the "modern" (GNOME Shell) notification popup and the "classic" (e-a-n) popup window at the same time, many times a day. Sometimes even the "e-a-n is ready" notification. This is really annoying.
The only way of disabling this is to remove or modify a desktop file that will be overwritten with the next package update.
Isn't it time to remove /etc/xdg/autostart/org.gnome.Evolution-alarm-notify.desktop ? Or is this a downstream issue because it is the distributor (Debian/Ubuntu) in this case that is enabling it ?https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution-data-server/-/issues/261CalDAV: How to rename a source?2020-10-29T12:44:05ZMarco BetschartCalDAV: How to rename a source?How to rename an existing source using a CalDAV backend (a Nextcloud backend to be specific)?

I'm trying to add this feature to the elementary Tasks app - but I can't find a way to rename the source in the backend as well. While EDS does rename the source locally, it refuses to do so in the Nextcloud backend. The approach currently used is:
```
source.display_name = editable_title.text; // set new name
if (source.has_extension (E.SOURCE_EXTENSION_WEBDAV_BACKEND)) {
unowned E.SourceWebdav source_webdav_extension = (E.SourceWebdav) source.get_extension (E.SOURCE_EXTENSION_WEBDAV_BACKEND);
source_webdav_extension.display_name = editable_title.text; // set the new name for WebDAV
}
registry.commit_source_sync (source, null);
```
FWIW: I tried `source.write` as well - with the same result (the new name is not reflected to the backend).
This question was already asked in in IRC (#evolution) and at [discourse.gnome.org](https://discourse.gnome.org/t/how-to-rename-task-list-using-libecal-2-0/4508) - without any success unfortunately. * "emailaddress" - (Collection -webdav)
* "calendar name" - (Calendar - caldav) - random [0-9a-f]* string, most likely the last part of a CalDAV URL.
the above is displayed twice for the same "calendar name", but using a different [0-9a-f]* string
When I click on it, seahorse shows as details “e-source-uid" and “eds-origin”.
When I delete from Evolution all calendars with “calendar name”, these are still visible in seahorse.
I want to remove in seahorse all entries for an account, but given that an entry with the same “calendar name” can appear several times (e.g. by using different accounts with the same email address, established over time, or by having differenta accounts with different email addresses, having access to the same webdav collection), I do not know which ones should I delete. The ”e-source-uid” could help, but using it is too cumbersome.

I am currently using Evolution version 3.38.0 (from Flatpak) in Linux Mint 20. In Plugins, I still have the External Text Editor plugin showing which I originally installed from the Linux Mint Software Manager when I was using an earlier version of Evolution with Linux Mint 18.x In those days I used it a lot but did not use it in Linux Mint 19.x (Evolution 3.38.x) so I don't know if it was still working then.
When I upgraded to Linux Mint 20, the version of Evolution in the Software Manager was 3.36.3 but I had TLS problems with it and had to replace it with version 3.36.4 from the GitHub Flatpak link. That has since upgraded to version 3.38.0 and everything is working just fine except the External Text Editor plugin which I would like to use again.
I have checked the Linux Mint 20 Software Manager and see that it now has Evolution 3.36.4 and the list of additional plugins does not include the External Text Editor.
So, my question is, is this plugin now obsolete and, if so, how can I remove it from my plugins menu? I can't purge my Flatpak version (3.38.0) and reinstall with 3.36.4 from the Software Manager because an Evolution backup made in 3.38.0 will not restore to a 3.36.4 installation. I tried.
Thanks in advance for your input.https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution-data-server/-/issues/251Unable to sync any calendar from my google accounts2020-09-21T06:53:36ZCarlos PitaUnable to sync any calendar from my google accountsIn a fresh Arch Linux installation with evolution-data-server 3.36.5 I add my three Google accounts and allow to sync calendars from all of them but I'm not getting any calendar nor event from Google, neither in GNOME Calendar nor in the...In a fresh Arch Linux installation with evolution-data-server 3.36.5 I add my three Google accounts and allow to sync calendars from all of them but I'm not getting any calendar nor event from Google, neither in GNOME Calendar nor in the Shell notification panel nor in Evolution. This used to work in previous installations. I've tried removing ~/.cache, ~/.config/goa-1.0, ~/.config/evolution, ~/.local/share/evolution, relogin into my account, recreating my Google accounts, all to no avail. I'm not sure how to help debugging this issue.https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution-data-server/-/issues/250Show HTML Description in calendar entries, when available2020-09-17T15:16:16ZJoakim TjernlundShow HTML Description in calendar entries, when availableMuch like emails already has, a Prefer HTML knob for viewing HTML DESCRIPTIONS in Calendar **entries** would be much appreciatedMuch like emails already has, a Prefer HTML knob for viewing HTML DESCRIPTIONS in Calendar **entries** would be much appreciatedhttps://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution-data-server/-/issues/249EBufferTagger: Add link-related options into the context menu2020-09-17T15:30:45ZJoakim TjernlundEBufferTagger: Add link-related options into the context menuFor Ctrl clickable links in a Calendar entry, please add a Right Click -> Copy Link knob

Because this user has no Scheduling Inbox, and [when only one calendar-home-set is returned Thunderbird insists that the user has Scheduling Inbox, if it has Scheduling Outbox](https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1599602), this user has two calendar-home-sets. Having two calendar-home-sets is anyway valid.
Then I open the WebDAV editor. It shows each calendar-home-set twice - some are initially collapsed, some not.
