Extremely slow transition animations on some PDF files

Description
I have 2 PDF files created by "Acrobat PDFMaker 11 for PowerPoint" which behave weird in evince: In presentation (after pressing F5) they take about 3 seconds for a single slide transition animation. When presented with the original application (Microsoft PowerPoint), they are behaving normal, i.e. with no noticable animation.
Setting severity to "major" because at this speed it is not usable for any serious presentations.
If no fix is possible, how about a workaround of disabling animations everywhere? Why would a PDF file even have animations?
I'm sorry I cannot provide the files into bugzilla because they are probably protected by copyright. If you want me to send them to you, please provide a GPG key ID to encrypt against.
