Creating a new PDF from one page of a PDF caused omission of some text

Description
I had a 12-page PDF that was published by the Internal Revenue Service (a U.S. Federal government agency). I wanted to print only page 6, so I used Evince to save a copy of the PDF that was limited to that page, which I then printed at a printer-copier machine available at a business firm (previous experience at a possibly similar machine showed that printing only specified pages from another PDF from the same government agency failed and I didn't want to print all 12 pages). The printout appears to have been faithful to the 1-page PDF made by Evince, but the one page differs from that page in the original PDF in that some text disappeared. The original says, "14. Add the amounts on line 13 of both columns. Enter the result on line 11 of the Shared"/"Responsibility Payment Worksheet". The Evince-generated PDF page says, "14. of the Shared"/"Responsibility Payment Worksheet". (In both, "14." is boldfaced.) At a glance but without being certain, the font of what was omitted appears to have been the same as what stayed that was adjacent. I can supply both PDFs, if you wish. The original PDF was at http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i8965.pdf as accessed Mar. 30, 2015; I do not know if the IRS has replaced the PDF since when I downloaded my copy.
