Encoding error when opening CBR files
Submitted by Ricky Romaya
When opening CBR with Evince in Windows (7 SP1 x86), the following error occur in Windows CLI:
(evince.exe:952): Gtk-WARNING **: Failed to set text from markup due to error parsing markup: error in line 1 char 18: Invalid UTF-8 encoded text in name - not valid '\x94\u0002'
WinRAR v4.20 and RARLab's free UnRar is installed and used as decompressor for the CBR files. The CLI version of UnRar from WinRAR or UnRar free is copied into Evince's bin directory.
Note 1: The above error can only be seen if starting Evince from the CLI, and may or may not be displayed. If the error is displayed in the CLI, then Evince GUI will report "Unable to open document" and nothing else. If it doesn't, then Evince GUI will report the same "Unable to open document" but have an additional line with garbled text.
Note 2: The offending encoded text varies with CBR files, meaning different CBR file report different "not valid '\xXX\uXXXXX'" part of the error.
