Flatpak 40.1: No audio when clicking on play button in PDF
Hello,
Version: Evince 40.1 Flatpak. OS: Fedora Workstation 33.
Description: No audio when clicking on play button inside a PDF which have a (supposed) ANNOT_MOVIE (the play button) ; the audio to be played is an external file.
Steps to reproduce:
-
Download the PDF attached to the following bug (Attachment 293569; lagrangeGdr12.pdf) and save it in a location of your choice: #544
-
Inside the same folder of the downloaded PDF file, create a new folder called "sounds".
-
Choose one of your audio file (that your system can play with sound) and copy-paste it into the folder "sounds".
-
Rename the audio file into "roxanne_thePolice.wav" (don't forget to change the file extension).
-
Open the downloaded pdf file (lagrangeGdr12.pdf) with Evince 40.1 Flatpak.
-
Inside the pdf file, click on the play button on the first page. Notice there is no sound.
-
Close Evince.
After completing the above steps to reproduce the bug, it is possible to have the sound by activating the access to the sound system. I don't know how to do this using the terminal, so here are the steps to do it graphically:
-
If you don't have it, install FlatSeal flatpak from command line (flatpak install flatseal) or from Gnome Software.
-
Open FlatSeal.
-
In the sidebar of FlatSeal, click on Evince.
-
In the right pane, click on the on/off button of the label "PulseAudio sound server. socket=pulseaudio" (under "Socket") to activate it.
-
Reopen the "lagrangeGdr12.pdf" file and click again on the play button on the first page. Notice that there is sound.
