Support application-wide dark mode preference

Currently, the night mode or invert mode is a per document setting. This makes it hard to use as a true "night mode", because at night you must manually switch to it for each of your documents as you open them.

It would be more convenient to have a global dark mode setting, which can be set manually, or through gsettings, or potentially integrated with Night Light or other settings.
