Crashes on Launch (Segmentation Fault)
So, I've been having an issue for some time (a few months, maybe) wherein every time I open the Epiphany web browser, it crashes nearly immediately. Opening it from the terminal simply displays the error message "Segmentation fault". I followed the instructions to do a stack trace and hopefully did it correctly, and that's shown below.
Steps to reproduce: Open Epiphany on my machine and it crashes.
OS Info:
- elementary OS 5.0 Juno
- Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
- Linux 4.15.0-66-generic
- GTK 3.22.30
Epiphany Version: Web 3.28.5 (using the --version
flag in the terminal)
I was unable to find the WebKitGTK version.
The stack trace (aquired using gbd
and bt full
) is as follows:
