Add support for "pass" password manager
Pass is a decentralised, free and open, cross-platform solution for password management that uses Git as the synchronisation mechanism.
There is also a Go version (https://www.gopass.pw/), apps for iOS and Android, and a browser extension for Firefox and Chrome (https://github.com/browserpass/browserpass). Using gopass along with the Browserpass browser extension, I get the same sort of convenience I had with the proprietary 1password service.
With this setup, I can use one password manager that I own and control and keep my devices on every platform synchronised.
Sadly, the Browserpass extension is only available for Firefox or Chrome so I am forced to decided between the products of two surveillance capitalists. (I’ve started using Firefox because of this any time I need to sign into smoething as manually managing passwords between platforms was becoming a chore. I still fire up Web whenever I don’t need to authenticate because I’d like to spend as much time in Web as I can and try to make it better.)
It would be awesome if we could put integration of Browserpass into Web on the roadmap and thereby bring password managment natively to Gnome Web in a decentralised and free and open manner.
