Unmute button doesn't work
When a web page plays audio I can mute the sound by clicking the speaker icon on the page's tab, which is great. However, when I next try to "unmute" the tab (by clicking the icon again) the page remains muted. The icon changes back to the speaker icon, but I don't get any sound.
I can reproduce this on various websites. For instance...
- Visit https://www.deutschlandfunk.de/ and click on the "Live" button. This opens an audio player at the bottom of the the page.
- Mute the sound using the speaker icon on the tab
- Click the icon again to "unmute" the sound
For me, the page remains muted. This example is a bit annoying, as the media player doesn't have its own sound button (so there's no way to get sound back after muting the page).
This might be another useful example:
- Open http://streams.greenhost.nl:8080/live
- Mute the sound using the speaker icon on the tab
- Click the icon again to "unmute" the sound
I get the same result: "unmuting" the tab doesn't unmute sound. On this page you can also see that the "mute" button in the audio player remains muted. And, after clicking the "unmute" button in the audio player the "mute" and "unmute" buttons in the tab start working again (though if I then mute and unmute them a couple of times via the button in the browser tab I get the same issue again).
