Install web application does not save user login credentials or active session credentials.
Environment: Epiphany 40.2, phosh 0.17.0-1pureos1, mobile.
Steps to repeat:
- open GNOME Web (normal mode, normal settings),
- open website that requires email link login two factor authentication (its not a code its a link sent via email) e.g. https://forums.puri.sm/,
- login to that website by following email link (you will have to create an account to test),
- User is now logged in (might be a separate tab or browser window from the one originally opened to login),
- Select install as web application (including settings like remember password, dont clear cache, dont clear cookies, allow web site data storage, disable intelligent tracking protection),
- Close all browser windows, apps,
- Navigate to newly created web app and launch it.
Observe on loading user is not logged into the forum session, when attempting to re login and authenticate that web app session the emailed link will cause it to open in a new Gnome Browser window and will log the user in on that session while the web app session is still not logged in.
What it should be doing is allow pages to load within web app without requiring to open a new window and allow two factor authorized credentials (cookies, certificates, passwords etc) to be stored in web app on web app creation from am existing live logged in session.
