Eye of GNOME crashing when opening/closing the Image Properties menu

Fedora 38, eog-44.1-1.fc38.x86_64.

Eye of GNOME crashes on SIGSEGV when opening or closing the Image Properties menu (sidebar) if two or more instances of EoG are opened and the second instance gets closed before opening the Image Properties menu in the first instance. It looks like that there may be some kind of race condition or a similar problem somewhere.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open a picture in EoG.
2. Open another picture in a second instance of EoG.
3. Close the second instance of EoG.
4. Try opening (or closing) the Image Properties menu in a first instance of EoG.
